Our puppy and dog training classes in Bansteadl will cover all the basic life skills needed to have a well-mannered pet. Puppies and older dogs are welcome on the course.
Week 1 is done without dogs, so these sessions are held over Zoom. Weeks 2 -8 will be held in person.
We will educate you on the best way to handle all sorts of training problems such as play biting, chewing, stealing, and jumping up. Our classes focus on understanding how dogs learn so you can teach them polite behaviour and invaluable skills in confidence and sociability.
To give you a basic idea of what our training classes entail, here are the skills and values we teach:
- How to correctly socialise
- How to get and keep your puppy's / dog's attention
- Recalls away from other dogs, people and other distractions such as food and toys
- Walking on a loose lead without pulling
- How to relax and stay calm amongst distractions
- Manners and self-control around food, dogs and people
- Leave and drop
- How to correctly handle and examine your puppy/dog
- Settling on a mat and staying
- How to deal with jumping up, chewing and play biting
- Ideas to mentally stimulate your dog and keep their busy minds occupied
Also included in the course:
- Information pack emailed to you
- A dedicated Whatsapp group for the class where you can ask questions and submit videos throughout the course
- FREE access to our Puppy Perfection Life Skills video tutorial course - over 30 video tutorials covering everything that is covered in the course (usually sold at £57)
Our Sunday puppy and dog classes are held outside at our private field in Woodmansterne Lane, Banstead, Surrey, SM7 2ET.

We have a 13-month-old, very energetic English Show Cocker Spaniel. We knew from the first few weeks of having him, that we needed some extra support and so started to look into local puppy training providers. CK9 was recommended literally everywhere, and that's where it all began. Cooper started puppy classes which taught obedience, general life skills and taught us, as puprents so much! It was always fun, interactive and progressive, each week building upon what you had learnt the previous week, in a super safe and well thought out environment. Tasks were set to practise at home, in-between sessions and lots of super handy online videos. It also felt reassuring when you turned up to class and others puprents and their pups were going through the same thing. Rachel was our trainer and I really couldn't recommend her more highly! She is amazing! Personable, experienced, loves the dogs and clearly loves what she does, which is why we have continued since puppy classes and are now attending pre agility classes.
