|Duration:||Six weeks||Length:||50 minutes|
|Date(s):||Monday 5th November 7pm (3 week course – £30), Tuesday 6th November 6.30pm, Tuesday 27th November 7.30pm|
|Suitable for:||Fully vaccinated puppies under the age of 5 months|
As well as covering all the basic commands you need to have a well-trained puppy, the majority of time in class is spent with the puppies off the lead, providing excellent opportunities for socialisation, teaching bite inhibition, and education owners on how to train their pups with plenty of distractions without keeping them on-lead all the time.
We will teach you how to deal with all those typical puppy problems such as play biting, chewing, stealing and jumping up, help you to understand how dogs learn and also the importance of mental stimulation.
Week 5 of the course will take place in a local park (daylight permitting for evening classes) so there is a chance to practice training in a real-life situation.
What is taught:
- Socialisation with dogs and people
- Bite Inhibition (teaching your dog to have a soft mouth)
- Leave it
- Watch me
- Walking on a loose lead without pulling
- Recalls – getting your dog to come back to you
